Martin Escobari — Managing Director and Head of Latin America at General Atlantic

Mr. Martin Escobari serves as Managing Director and Head of Latin America at General Atlantic LLC (GA). Mr. Escobari joined GA in 2012. Mr. Escobari served as Managing Director at Advent International. He joined the Advent International in 2007. He led Advent's investment in Cetip and OTC derivatives. Before that, Mr. Escobari was Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Submarino.com. He began his career as an Associate at Boston Consulting Group. He has been a Director of Grupo Axo, S.A.P.I. de C.V. since May 2017. Mr. Escobari serves as a Director of Ourofino, Pague Menos and Laboratorios Sanfer S.A. de C.V. He serves on the board of Primeira Chance. Mr. Escobari previously served on the Boards of Sura Asset Management, XP Investimentos, Smiles and Decolar. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Group for the Brazil office of Harvard??s Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies. Mr. Escobari is active with Endeavor Brazil, where he mentors young entrepreneurs. He graduated with high honors with a B.S. from Harvard College and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, graduating as a Baker Scholar.
