Steven Aaron Denning — Chairman at General Atlantic

Mr. Steven Aaron Denning, also known as Steve, serves as the Chairman of General Atlantic LLC, and was previously the Chairman of Executive Advisory Board and Member of Executive Advisory Board. Mr. Denning is the Chairman and Managing Director at General Atlantic Service Co., LLC. Mr. Denning was previously employed at McKinsey & Company. He has been the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Stanford University since July 2012. Mr. Denning serves as an Emeritus Chairman of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Board and the National Parks Conservation Association. He served as a Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Nature Conservancy until November 2013 and has been its Director since January 2008. He is a Director of Engility LLC. Mr. Denning has been an Independent Director of Engility Holdings, Inc. since February 26, 2015 and EXE Technologies, Inc. since September 1997. He serves as a Director of Eclipsys India, TASC Parent Corp., Healthcare Magazines, TASC, Inc., GT Interactive Software Corp., Gavilon Holdings, LLC, and Birch Parent Corp. Mr. Denning serves as a Member of Board of Trustees of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and a Member of Board of Advisors at Common Sense Media, Inc. He serves on the Board and is an Honorary Trustee of The Brookings Institution and the American Museum of Natural History. Mr. Denning serves on the Advisory Boards at Stanford University, Distinguished Career Institute Advisory Board, Knight-Hennessy Scholarship Program Advisory Board, and Online Teaching and Learning Advisory Board. He serves as a Trustee of The Bridgespan Group, Inc. and a Member of the Board of the Council on Foreign Relations and Next Generation. Mr. Denning served as a Director of Exult Inc. since 1998 and served as the Lead Director since January 2003. Mr. Denning served as a Director of SRA International, Inc. from April 2002 to September 1, 2006, Director of IHS Inc. from April 2005 to January 28, 2011, Director of Eclipsys Corporation from March 1997 to November 13, 2008, and as Director of Thomson Reuters UK Limited since 2000. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Liberata Limited and as Director of Aon Hewitt LLC from October 1, 2004 to February 12, 2009. Mr. Denning was a Member of the Advisory Board of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut Science Center, the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and Georgia Tech Foundation Inc., and the Cancer Research Institute. He is actively involved in a number of private and public information technology companies in the United States, Europe and Asia. Mr. Denning has also served in the United States Navy for six years. He earned an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School in 1978, an M.S. from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California in 1971 and a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970.
