Wai Hoong Fock — Principal at General Atlantic

Mr. Wai Hoong Fock, also known as Huo Weixiong, serves as a Principal at General Atlantic LLC. Mr. Fock oversees the New York investment group's transaction origination and portfolio company activities in the region. He also leads General Atlantic's Southeast Asia investing program. Previously, he served as the Head of Southeast Asia Investing Program at the firm. He served as the Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners Limited, where he oversaw its investments in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. He has been Independent Commissioner of PT Map Boga Adiperkasa Tbk since 2017. Mr. Fock was a member of the CVC Southeast Asia team. His most recent responsibilities included financial analysis, due diligence and execution of acquisitions, debt and equity transactions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. He joined CVC Capital Partners Limited in November 2007. He served as an Associate of Blum Capital Partners. Mr. Fock served as Vice President of Headlands Capital Partners. Prior to this, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley for three years and worked in the Global Media and Communications Group and the Financial Sponsors Group. He serves as a Director of Asia Link Dewa Pte. Ltd. He served as a Director at CVC Capital Partners Limited and PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa. He held board governance positions at several businesses including: Magnum; Matahari Department Stores; and QSR Brands, among others. Mr. Fock holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Economics (Honors) magna cum laude from the University of Michigan.
