Executive Bio

Paula J. Henry has been the President of Utah Railway Company, a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming Inc., since April 1, 2008. Ms. Henry has been Senior Vice President of Rocky Mountain Region of Genesee & Wyoming Inc., since April 1, 2008. She joined GWI from the City of Tacoma, Wash., Department of Public Utilities, where she served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Tacoma Rail from July 1998 to December 2005 and served as its Chief Operating Officer since December 2005. She was responsible for overall safety, management, operation and maintenance of approximately 195 miles of track. Ms. Henry serves as an Executive Board Member of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) and a Member of the National Association for Railroad Female Executives Inc. Ms. Henry studied BA in Regional Urban Planning from Western Washington University.
