Not a bad place to work when considering the railroad industry. Manager moral is low which trickles down to hourly staffing. Turnover rate seems to be fairly high, which results IMO to a higher injury and hfi rate.

Company is full of great people to work with. Smart, effective, motivated and generally team players.

They are listening to Brookfield and are starting to understand that valuing employees evolves into better productive which results in better revenue

Good focus on growth and diversification; work to uphold safety performance as a core purpose.

The health insurance benefits are the best part of my compensation package.

The wage is not competitive with the class 1rail companies and they make things really hard to figure out and they don't provide a complete process to take care of their employees problems. The upper management ties the hands of front line supervisor to do their jobs properly.

Frontline Salary Managers are flat out underpaid for what is expected. Most are just slightly above hourly employee rates at a salary. Theyre expected to be there nonstop essentially married to the company. Even subordinate salary positions are paid the same as managers.

Great group of hardworking people

The coworkers are very competent, humble, and overall great people. Given the rocky turnoil with G&W/Brookfield the people still seem to care about each other and the work they do.

Solid core of competent coworkers

The employees care about the railroad and their jobs even when management dont.

At my location we try our best to work together. Corporate is all about Corporate

Frontline management staff willingness to help out with whatever is needed to do the job right, safely and efficiently, given the stress they are under. Safety statistics seem to be toward the top of the rail industry.

The zoom style of interview seemed to be extremely convenient and low stress. The interviewers were polite and respectful

The team work of a very small skeleton crew and the bonds that are built within the work groups. Being given a difficult craft specific task and being able to achieve it safely and efficiently.
