Mr. James J. Vaughn, also known as Jim, R.Ph. has been Chief Commercial Officer at Genomic Health Inc since December 31, 2014 and served as its Senior Vice President of Worldwide Commercial from August 2011 to December 31, 2014. Mr. Vaughn served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Genomic Health Inc and oversees the commercial portfolio and Oncotype DX marketing teams in the U.S. Mr. Vaughn led the expansion of Genomic Health's international business efforts in Geneva, Switzerland from 2009 through 2012. In Geneva, he and team focused on collaborating with early adopting physicians in Canada, Ireland, Spain, Germany and the UK, to support broader Oncotype DX reimbursement and patient access. Prior to leading the marketing teams at Genomic Health, he worked in the managed care setting and led Genomic Health's Western U.S. sales efforts from 2005 through 2008. Mr. Vaughn served as Vice President of Marketing at Cerus Corporation. He joined Cerus from Pharmacia, where he held several sales and marketing management positions and was senior director, Global Cox-2 Oncology Marketing for Pharmacia. In this position, he led the commercial development of the cox-2 platform in oncology, including Celebrex (celecoxib). He also held positions as Director, Marketing European Oncology and Associate Director, Global New Business Development, Oncology, during his tenure at Pharmacia. Prior to Pharmacia, he held various sales, managed care and sales management positions at Immunex, a Seattle-based biotechnology company. Mr. Vaughn also spent nine years in various positions at Lederle Laboratories. He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from Creighton University, Omaha and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University.
