David W. O'Leary — CEO of U.S. Life Insurance Division and President of U.S. Life Insurance Division at Genworth Financial

Mr. David W. O'Leary has been President of U.S. Life Insurance Division at Genworth Financial, Inc. since October 23, 2015 and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Life Insurance Division since January 22, 2016. Mr. O'Leary served as an Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Marketing at AIG Life Holdings (US), Inc. and AIG American General, Inc. since September 21, 2006. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Specialty Markets Group at AIG American General, Inc. He served as Head of Annuity Business, Senior Vice President of Annuity Division and Senior Vice President of IIG Product Sales & Marketing of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Mr. O'Leary was responsible for AIG's market research, competitor research and working with key organization leaders to facilitate development of domestic life business strategies. He was in charge of a life insurance operation in the process of expanding its product offerings with an emphasis on meeting consumer demand for financial security. In this role, he was responsible for the four major units of the Financial Protection division: Business Management & Operations, Product Life Cycle Management, Product Design & Manufacturing; and Distribution Management. He has more than 25 years experience as a life insurance industry executive. He served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Financial Protection at AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company since September 2010. Mr. O'Leary joined American General Life Insurance Cos., a unit of American International Group from Mass Mutual Financial Group, where he served in multiple roles, including Senior Vice President and Head of the Annuity Business and LifeBridge and Chairman of MassMutual's Trust Company. Before joining American General in 2006, he headed up the annuity business at Mass Mutual Financial Group, following stints at the Aetna Financial Services division of Aetna Inc., the CIGNA Individual Insurance division of CIGNA Corp., and Security-Connecticut Life Insurance Co. He served as the Principal Executive Officer and President of various MML Series funds in the fund complex. Mr. O'Leary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and NASD Series 6 and 26 licenses.
