Diversity and Inclusion at Geotab

Geotab is committed to creating a diverse work environment where all Geotabbers feel safe and respected. Diversity is fundamental to Geotab's future growth and progress and is an integral part of everything that we do. Geotab has established a global Diversity and Inclusion Committee to support Geotab’s ongoing commitment to providing current and prospective staff with a welcoming and inclusive work environment as well as explore ways to support a more inclusive community at a global level. Within the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Geotab has created three Business Resource Groups (BRGs): Women in STEM, People of Color in STEM and LGBTQ+ and Allies.

Geotab offers a paid half-day off to employees to write the citizenship test and a paid full-day off for employees to attend their citizenship ceremony.

Geotab has created its own Women in STEM mentorship program. This program is designed to mentor the next generation of women who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM. Geotab's female engineers volunteer to be a part of the program and become mentors to local high school and university age girls to help them build their confidence and knowledge.

All Geotab managers are taught the Employment Standards Act, which focuses on protecting employees’ rights. This law tells employers how to treat workers fairly. Another training, Duty to Accommodate, discusses how to support the needs of people with psychosocial disabilities to ensure they have equal opportunities, equal access and can enjoy equal benefits. Additional training includes topics such as workplace violence, mental health, conflict resolution and handling difficult conversations.
