Mr. Naseem A. Chohan BE (Electronic), serves as an Executive Vice President of Sustainable Development at Gold Fields Ltd. and served as its Senior Vice President of Sustainable Development since September 13, 2010. Mr. Chohan is a qualified Electronics Engineer and spent 25 years with De Beers during which he led the development of sustainability principles for it and integrated sustainability in its business model. He left De Beers in 2009 when he was Group Consultant, Sustainability and ECOHS (Environment, Community, Occupational Health and Hygiene and Safety), to start his own mining consultancy. Mr. Chohan holds a B Eng in Electronics Engineering from University of Limerick, Ireland.
