Executive Bio
Mara brings strong and diverse experience to Goodwill Central Texas. Her early career included roles with national advertising agencies and in corporate communications. Her marketing background led her to the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation, where she began her work in philanthropy. She later served as Director of Major Gifts for Ronald McDonald House in San Diego. Before joining Goodwill, she was the Senior Director of Development for The Seton Fund, supporting Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. Fluent in Spanish and proudly bicultural, Mara has lived and worked in California, New Mexico, and Texas, her home state. A cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University, she calls Austin home with her husband and their two dogs.
