Mr. Steven W. Streit, also known as Steve, founded Green Dot Corporation formerly known as, Next Estate Communications Inc. in 1999 and has been its Chief Executive Officer since January 2001 and President since October 1999. Mr. Streit has been Director of Los Angeles Branch at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco since January 1, 2017. Mr. Streit created the pricing, packaging and technology strategies for the sales and marketing of prepaid association-branded cards that today serves as the industry standard at Green Dot. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Bonneville Bancorp. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Green Dot Bank. Prior to Green Dot, he was in the radio broadcasting business and served as a programming executive at a number of radio groups, most notably AMFM radio. Mr. Streit served as the Chairman of Green Dot Corporation since February 2010 until June 23, 2016 and has been its Director since October 1999. His radio programming career was best known for the successful creation and treatments of numerous popular radio formats of the 1990's, including the Soft Rock format, the ???Hot??? AC format and other programming varieties that targeted adults. He served as radio announcer and disc jockey and at one time was fill-in host for the legendary Casey Kasem on ???American Top 40.??? Mr. Streit started his broadcast career in West Palm Beach, Florida as a late night disc jockey. Mr. Streit has been recognized for numerous industry awards, including the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 Southern California Award and the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 National Financial Services Award. Mr. Streit was selected from 15 finalists in the Greater Los Angeles area by an independent panel of judges comprised of local business and community leaders.
