Mr. George P. Simpkins Jr., also known as Patrich, has been the Chief Development Officer at Green Plains Inc. (alternatively Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc.) since October 2014 and serves as its Chief Risk Officer since October 2014 until August 2016. Mr. Simpkins has been Chief Development & Risk Officer of Green Plains Holdings LLC at Green Plains Partners LP since March 2015. He served as an Executive Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Green Plains Inc. since joining in May 2012 until October 2014. Mr. Simpkins joined the Green Plains Inc. in May 2012. Prior to Green Plains, he served as Managing Partner of GPS Capital Partners LLC. From February 2005 to June 2008, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of SensorLogic, Inc., and Executive Vice President and Global Chief Risk Officer of TXU Corporation from November 2001 to June 2004. Prior to that, he served in senior financial and commercial executive roles with Duke Energy Corporation, Louis Dreyfus Energy, MEAG Power Company and MCI Communications. He served as Chairman of Allegro Development Corporation. He has been Director of Green Plains Holdings LLC at Green Plains Partners LP since June 2015. Mr. Simpkins is a registered investment principal and advisor. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Marketing from the University of Kentucky.
