Alan Callaghan — MD & President of Harris Defence Australia at Harris Corporation

Mr. Alan Callaghan has been Managing Director and President of Harris Defence Australia at Harris Corporation since April 2016. Mr. Callaghan is responsible for defence related business development, marketing, operations, shared services and government relations in Australia. He also help to increase Harris infrastructure and partnerships in the region and support efforts to expand its market presence, particularly in the area of advanced communications networks including tactical radio systems, satellite systems, geospatial solutions, ISR and electronic warfare. Mr. Callaghan previously served as Vice President of international sales and Managing Director of Asia Pacific operations for the Harris Communication Systems business. He joined Harris in 2003 and has since held various international leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He is a retired wing commander with the Royal Australian Air Force and earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from the University of Canberra and a master's degree in Communication Systems Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.
