William H. Gattle — President of Space & Intelligence Systems at Harris Corporation

Mr. William H. Gattle, also known as Bill has been the President of Space & Intelligence Systems at Harris Corporation since July 2015. Mr. Gattle has primary responsibility for the business strategy, financial performance and successful execution of all programs within Space and Intelligence. Mr. Gattle served as Vice President and General Manager of Harris' National Systems business unit, which focused on the U.S. intelligence community and the worldwide space market, providing end-toend mission solutions for intelligence collection, analysis and distribution, as well as enabling technologies for space. Previously, he served as Vice President of Aerospace Systems, which encompassed space-based payloads, electronics and structures for commercial and government markets, including military avionics and electronics, as well as programs of record for strategic and tactical terminals and networks. Before that, he was vice president of Space Communication Systems, which provided key enabling payload and precision structures capability to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, commercial enterprises and the intelligence community. Previously, he held positions as the program director of the Commercial Reflector Enterprise and Mobile Satellite Ventures (Lightsquared) reflector program, program director of DoD Terrestrial Communications and director of Engineering for Defense Programs. Mr. Gattle is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Space Florida Aviation and Aerospace Task Force and the Space Supplier Council (SSC). He is a board member of the Astronaut Hall of Fame. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Florida. Mr. Gattle holds a Master of Science Degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida. In addition, he is a graduate of the Harris Leadership Directions Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
