Richard Hare — Executive VP & CFO at Haverty Furniture Companies

Mr. Richard B. Hare has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. since May 4, 2017. Mr. Hare serves as Vice President of Digital Cinema Destinations Corp. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Carmike Cinemas, Inc. since March, 2006 until December 2016 and served as its Senior Vice President since May 24, 2016 until December 2016. He served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Carmike Cinemas Inc. since March, 2006 until May 24, 2016. He joined Carmike Cinemas Inc on March 27, 2006. He served as Principal Accounting Officer of Carmike Cinemas Inc since July 7, 2010. He served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller at Greenfuels Holding Company, LLC and its affiliates from August 2002 to March 2006. He was responsible for accounting, financial reporting, information systems, risk management, credit, collections, regulatory and financial compliance for multiple closely held entrepreneurial companies of Greenfuels. He served as an Assistant Treasurer of Sanmina-SCI Corporation from October 2000 to June 2002. Prior to Sanmina, he served as a Treasurer of Wolverine Tube, Inc. from 1997 to October 2000 and served as its Assistant Treasurer. He has over 25 years of financial management experience. He has been an Independent Director of Gray Television, Inc. since September 20, 2016. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Chatham Hall School in Chatham, Virginia and the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Hare began his career in audit practice at Coopers & Lybrand, a public accounting firm in 1989. He is also an Emeritus member of Dean's Advisory Council at The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
