Jesus Alvarez — VP & MD of Mexico at Herbalife

Mr. Jesus Alvarez serves as Vice President and Managing Director of Mexico at Herbalife International of America, Inc. and Herbalife Ltd. Mr. Alvarez is responsible for all business, strategic, sales and marketing functions across the region. He began his career at Herbalife in 2011 as ethics & compliance director, responsible for the implementation and enforcement of Member rules and guidelines. Subsequently, he took on the additional responsibility of corporate communications, government relations and scientific affairs. Being promoted two years later to Sr. Director, led Ethics & Compliance, Corp. Comms, Government & Scientific Affairs and social responsibility. Immediately prior to his current role, Alvarez was vice president, sales and events. He has over 20 years of experience in the direct selling industry, having held a number of senior roles with major companies, such as Amway, where, as general manager for Mexico, he successfully implemented an ambitious transformation initiative resulting in significant growth in the market. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and fluent in Portuguese and studied several courses at Thunderbird University and other institutes.
