Jerry Kagele — Senior Vice President of Sales at HGST

Mr. Jerry Kagele serves as Senior Vice President of Sales of HGST, Inc. Mr. Kagele served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at HGST, Inc. since July 2012. Mr. Kagele drives revenue and market share performance for all HGST products, including hard disk drives and solid state drives as well as HGST and G-Technology-branded external drives. He manages direct, distributor and retail sales and is responsible for worldwide OEM sales of HDDs and SSDs that are integrated into corporate and cloud datacenters, enterprise servers and storage systems, notebook and desktop PCs and consumer electronics. With more than 20 years of experience in both the commercial and OEM distribution channel, he has held executive positions in both Europe and the Americas at leading distributors. He served as the President of North American distribution of Bell Microproducts Inc. from November 14, 2006 to April 27, 2009. There he was responsible for all aspects of the distribution business in the United States and Canada as well as for its hard disk drive strategy worldwide. He served as an Executive Vice President of computer products and the OEM division at Bell Microproducts, as well as in several executive level positions at other top tier distributors. He joined Bell Microproducts in January 2002 from Avnet in Wiesbaden, Germany, where was Senior Vice President, Applied Computing Solutions Europe. Prior to the position with Avnet in Europe, he held executive management positions with Avnet, Inc. in Phoenix; Savoir Technology Group and Marshall Industries.
