All of the higi Stations and data storage systems are HIPAA compliant, and you can learn more about HIPAA compliance here. The higi Station is designed to provide health stats only to the user seated at the touchscreen, which is purposely angled so that people around the station can't see the information displayed on it. higi does not share personal health information on the top screen or over the station’s audio.

You can earn watts by checking into a higi station and by recording your physical activity with the higi app or an activity tracker that is linked to your higi account - see below for syncing instructions. How to use the higi app step tracker: 1. Open the higi app and log in to your account 2. Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the higi app > Tap 'Devices' 3. Make sure the toggle for 'higi' is on. We use healthkit (iOS) and Google Fit (Android) services to track your steps via mobile. An internet connection is required to push that activity to the higi service, therefore, you need to turn your cellular data/wifi on for higi. How to sync an Apple Watch to the higi app to track your activity: - Make sure that your Apple Watch is successfully paired to your Apple iPhone; if you are unsure of how to do so, please follow the instructions here - Download the higi app onto your iPhone from the App Store - Sign into the higi app or login with an existing higi account - Allow higi to access your step data from HealthKit when prompted by a pop-up notification The Apple Watch and iPhone use HealthKit to track your step data, which gets rid of duplicate step data to allow for a more accurate step reading. Allowing higi to access HealthKit will account the steps tracked from both your Apple Watch and your iPhone!

View ArticleWhen visiting the higi Station, click "log in” as you usually would. A QR code will appear on the right side of the email address field if it’s available for that Station. To scan the code, open and log in to your account within the higi mobile app (iOS or Android). Click on the button in the middle of the lower navigation bar for iOS or in the lower right corner of the app for Android. When the QR scanner tool opens, center your phone’s camera over the code on the Station until it lines up within the box presented within the app. A message will appear on your phone once the code has been scanned and the Station will automatically log you in once complete! Please note that you’ll need the latest version of the higi app on your phone for this feature to work properly.

Create an account on our website or app when you select ‘Sign Up’ or ‘I’m new to higi', then enter your email address and create a password. You’ll also be asked for your name, as well as your birth date; your birth date is an important part of what helps higi accurately calculate your health readings. You’ll also have the option to link your favorite fitness tracker upon sign-up from our website. On our station, you’ll be able to create an account before or after you complete your higi check-in.

View ArticleMaking sure our higi Stations are providing accurate results is very important to us! Every higi Station is scientifically calibrated to an accuracy of +/- 3 mmHg. The cuff is calibrated at the factory and again at the warehouse prior to installation. In addition, during the install, a technician checks the BP cuff to make sure that it is still reading blood pressure correctly. If your blood pressure readings seem inaccurate or unusually high, here are some tips to getting the best screening results: Avoid eating a large meal, heavy exercise, caffeine, alcohol, or tobacco products 30-60 minutes before measuring your blood pressure Use the bathroom, if needed, before taking a blood pressure reading Sit and rest 5 minutes prior to taking your blood pressure Make sure you sit with your feet on the ground, legs uncrossed Avoid talking while taking your blood pressure If time permits, take at least two readings during a visit to our station, with a minute of rest in between readings If you still find your readings to be inaccurate or unusually high, consult your healthcare provider for further information. If you suspect that the BP cuff needs to be re-calibrated, please let us know! Send the store name, address, and city to [email protected] for assistance.

For example, if a person weighs 150 pounds and they have 10% body fat, that person is made up of 15 pounds of fat and 135 pounds of lean mass. Lean mass is everything else that your body is made up of other than fat. This includes things such as your bones, muscles, organs, etc. The classifications for body fat percentage vary according to an individual's sex, weight, and height. If a person's weight or height falls outside of a particular range, the higi station will have a difficult time providing accurate body fat results - a station user's height should fall within 5'3" to 7'0", and weight should fall within 113 lbs to 575 lbs. The CDC defines Body Mass Index (BMI) as a number calculated from a person's weight and height. BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems.
View ArticleOh no, is the station telling you that it's offline? No worries! You can still save your results from your visit to the higi Station when it can't connect to the internet. To save your results: 1) Complete a higi Station check-in. On the final results screen, you will be given the option to save your results with a QR code. 2) Open your higi mobile app or download it from the app store for free. 3) Select the QR code scanner icon in the lower middle part of the app (see image below) 4) Scan the QR code that appears on the higi station, and voila! Results saved - the results from your check-in will then be added to your account. Keep in mind that an offline station may not offer the QR code if it just recently lost connection because it has not yet changed to offline mode.
