Biing-Seng Wu — Founder and Chairman of the Board at Himax Technologies

Dr. Biing-Seng Wu serves as the Chairman of Himax Technologies, Inc. Dr. Wu Founded Himax Technologies, Inc. He serves as the President and General Manager of Chi Hsin Electronics Corp. He served as an Executive Vice President of Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. from October 2005 to March 2009 and its Vice President from April 15, 2000 to 2001. He has been active in the TFT-LCD panel industry for over 20 years. He served as the President of Himax Optoelectronics. Prior to reorganization of Himax Technologies, Inc. in October 2005, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and the President of Himax Taiwan and Himax Display. He has more than twenty years' experience in TFT-LCD technology, having participated in the completion and operation of Taiwan's very first TFT-LCD plant. Prior to CMO in 1998, he served as a Senior Director and as a Plant Director of Prime View International Co., Ltd. from 1993 to 1997 and a Manager of Thin Film Technology Development at the Electronics Research & Service Organization/Industry Technology Research Institute, or ERSO/ITRI, of Taiwan. He serves as the Chairman at Himax Technologies, Inc., Himax Analogic, Himax Corporation and Himax Imaging. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Himax Taiwan and Himax Display. He served as a Vice Chairman of Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. He serves as a Director of Chi Lin Technology Co., Ltd., Chi Mei El Corp., Chi Mei Lighting Technology Corp. and NEXgen MediaTech Inc. He serves as a Director of Himax Display and Amazion. He served as a Director of Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. since March 5, 2001. He served as a Director of International Display Technology Ltd. He served as an Associate Professor at Sun Yat-Sen University. He serves as a Director of Chi Hsin Electronics Corp. He has been an Independent Director at E Ink Holdings Incorporated since June 18, 2014. He served as a Director of the Industrial Technology Research Institute's TFT-LCD development program and became a leading pioneer in the development of Taiwan's TFT-LCD industry. He serves as a Member of the boards of the Taiwan TFT-LCD Association and the Society for Information Display. He holds a B.S. degree, an M.S. Degree and a Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University.
