Douglas Williams Jr. — President of Markets & Product at HMS Holdings

Mr. Douglas Williams, Jr., known as Doug, has been President of Markets & Product at HMS Holdings Corp. since December 2016. Mr. Williams served as the Divisional President of Commercial Solutions at HMS Holdings Corp. since December 9, 2013 until January 2015. Mr. Williams is responsible for leading the HMS Holdings commercial product and business development strategy. Mr. Williams served as senior vice president of the Payer Business Unit at MedeAnalytics, where he was responsible for building the sales team and significantly expanding the sales pipeline. Mr. Williams served as a Senior Vice President of MedeAnalytics, Inc. He served as a Vice President of MedeAnalytics, Inc. since February 7, 2006. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Aveta, Inc. from April 2010 to 2013. Mr. Williams was responsible for all MedeFinance activities for most of the North American division including driving market development and sales, establishing new client and industry sector relationships and bringing solutions to market in support of company growth initiatives. He has over 25 years of experience in healthcare information technology, sales and operations. Mr. Williams has a strong record of delivering tangible business benefits to clients and is an accomplished senior-level executive with over 20 years of business and management consulting, technology and the healthcare industry experience. Mr. Williams held various executive level positions during a seven-year tenure at IBM, where he successfully led sales and market development and managed a global healthcare practice, Vice President of Business Transformation Outsourcing Sales and Global Healthcare Partner. Mr. Williams held several senior management positions during a seven-year career at Arthur Andersen, where he served as both a Healthcare Partner and a Healthcare Practice Leader responsible for overseeing the Audit, Tax and Consulting practice segments for the Southwest market. During his tenure as Healthcare Practice Leader he grew the practice to $25 million in revenue. Mr. Williams co-founded Rx Healthcare and served as its Vice President of Sales for four years and also held executive sales and development positions with RX Healthcare and Tandem Computers. Mr. Williams received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from California State University and has completed coursework at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
