He began his career as a Fourth Generation Manager in his family's retail furniture business founded by his great-grandfather in 1893. With over 27 years experiences in furniture industry, he has held various senior management positions in sales, marketing and retail operations at La-Z-Boy, Thomasville, Bernhardt and Hendricks Furniture Group. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont in 1982.
