Executive Bio

Emily has been in the higher education industry for 18 years. She spent 10 years at University of Phoenix in enrollment and campus leadership positions and, later, as the State Vice President for Virginia campuses. Emily moved to Portland in 2013 where she held the role of President for the Art Institute of Portland. Joining HotChalk in 2015, she leads partnership operations, focusing on the execution of strategies that deliver growth and improvement of operations across the partnership. With a passion for service excellence, Emily enjoys supporting partner universities and collaborating on initiatives to foster student success.
Emily earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University and her master's degree in management from University of Phoenix. Moving a number of times during her career, she is happy to now call the Pacific Northwest home, together with her husband (Scott), 3 children (Anthony, Isabella, Timothy), and 2 dogs.
