Mr. John Charles Allen has been the Managing Director of Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Group at Houlihan Lokey, Inc. since December 18, 2017. Mr. Allen was a Co-founder and CEO of Bluestone Capital Partners. At Bluestone, he directed key client relationships and oversees day-to-day operations of the firm. During his two decades in investment banking, he was involved in more than 150 deals with and for Fortune 500 and middle-market companies. This includes some of the biggest names in the aerospace, defense and government services markets such as AECOM, General Dynamics, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, ManTech, Raytheon, SAIC, The Carlyle Group, TransDigm and Veritas Capital. Because of his success and thought leadership, he has received many industry accolades including Investment Banker of the Year honors from the Association for Corporate Growth. He is also frequently interviewed as an investment banking and industry expert and has had articles and quotes published in Barrons, Washington Technology, Aviation Week, Defense News, Washington Business Journal, The Deal and The Washington Post, among many others. He has also briefed members of Congress on issues important to small and middle-market businesses. Prior to founding Bluestone, he was co-owner of Windsor Group before it was acquired by BB&T Corporation in 2005. He also founded Windsor Capital Partners Fund I. Before joining Windsor Group, he was President of Quarterdeck Investment Partners. He helped lead Quarterdeck from a start-up to the eventual sale of a minority position to Jefferies & Company. He has served on boards of multiple businesses and charitable organizations including Advanced Engineering & Research Associates, BB&T Capital Partners| Windsor Mezzanine Fund, Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc., Northern Virginia Technology Council, and Sentech, Inc. He currently serves on the boards of CIS Secure Computing, Iron Bow Technologies, and GAP Solutions, Inc. He has a Masters of Business Administration from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida.
