  • Close frinds of the vp. Image search and recognize to whom immediate preference is given to. Note individuals who expresses casual, close relationship with vp. They seem to vocalize similar enthusiasm. But, that is it. The VP is it. Everyone below the vp was chosen by the vp to be where they are. The vp is the smartest person in the room, and more agressively on point than anyone you've ever crossed. So, if you don't hit it off on first meeting, get real. You were judged and your career limited by the third google search result.????

Asked to all employees at HRL Laboratories

  • A question of work pace is trivial. With HR directors limiting legal liability, and the gaming of employees versed in discrimination and safety law, the expectation is nieve, new development engineers are simply pushed to exhaustion/failure and the 50 year olds flowing as slow as mollassis with a golden parachute in thier eye--certainly not critical thinking or innovative solutions. Thinking is for PhDs and summer interns. If you disagree, you unlikely work at HRL.

Asked to all employees at HRL Laboratories

  • Reward isn't possible without a PhD, given the tens of thousands given as salary tied bonuses when research metrics are achived. It is in favor of a department manager or right-out-of-school PhD to harass and drive a specialist or dev. engr. to breaking for said payout. This culture trickles down direct from the v.p. and is marked by the departure of talent while both director and now. Notice 'the view' as being a first and foremost perk, with zero mention of science and engineering exploration. There is no reward when comming to terms with Development Engineers being replaceable Morties and you aren't in a time-line where Rick loves you. You'll exist as a button pusher and your salary continget on not knowing its action.
