Executive Bio

Mr. John M. George has been Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at ICF International Inc since 2012. Mr. George served as Senior Vice President and Chief Solutions Officer of Vangent, Inc. (formerly known as Pearson Government Solutions). His primary responsibility was to create business-focused, technology enabled solutions for Pearson's clients. He also served as the Chief Technical Authority and was responsible for Pearson Government Solutions technology direction. His primary areas of expertise include enterprise architecture, eBusiness, Customer Relationship Management, strategy development and systems and network integration. Before joining Pearson, he was a Vice President and Client Partner with AT&T's Professional Services organization. In this role, he managed AT&T's professional services business focused on commercial and government clients delivering complex network intensive solutions. He has also held several technical and management positions at&T Solutions and Oracle. He also managed AT&T's Contact Center services business where he improved quality, profitability and transformed the culture of organization to align it with AT&T's professional services strategy. He has 25 years of successful information technology and management experience and has developed systems ranging from small-scale microprocessor controlled real-time interfaces to large-scale, standards-based, enterprise business infrastructure. He has held various information technology and management positions within diverse consulting, business and government cultures. His government experience includes a tour as Chief Engineer for the Information Network Program Office at the Department of the Navy Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and extensive experience at the Naval Air Systems Command and Naval Air Warfare Center. He also served as Senior Practice Director in Oracle's DoD consulting business. Mr. George is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and was formerly on the board of directors of the Council of Electronic Revenue Communication Advancement (CERCA). He was named the Tech Council of Maryland CIO/CTO of the Year in 2008. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
