Executive Bio
Mr. Jiande Chen has been Chief Executive Officer of IMAX China Holding, Inc. since August 1, 2011 and its Executive Director since May 27, 2015. Mr. Chen is responsible for the overall strategic direction and business operations of the Group. Mr. Chen served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Representative and General Manager of Sony Pictures Entertainment, China from 2000 to 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Chen was a Vice President of Allied Signal (China) Holding Corp., an aerospace, automotive and engineering company from 1998 to 1999, a Vice President of Boeing China Inc. from 1995 to 1998 and a Vice President of DDB Advertising/PR Corp. in Seattle from 1990 to 1995. He serves as a Member of the board of TCL-IMAX Entertainment Co. Ltd. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Alumni Association of Fudan University. Mr. Chen obtained a Ph.D degree in Communications from the University of Washington, the United States in December 1991 and graduated from Fudan University, the PRC, with a bachelors degree in English Literature in 1976.
