Favorite an Inkdoc
You may now click a star icon on your favorite or most valuable Inkdocs. Starring an Inkdoc populates a favorites-only view that can be selected by toggling between all Inkdocs and starred Inkdocs.
Inkling End User Guide
Sort by Recently Viewed
You may now sort your Library by recently viewed, so the Inkdocs you've last read will rise to the top of your library view when selected.
Updated Filter location
We've moved all Library filters out of the Settings menu and onto the Library screen so that they are more accessible. This includes the toggle between list and grid views, Sort by options, andthe dropdown to filter by document language.
Inkdoc counter for Collections and total numbers of Inkdocs
We've added a counter to let you know how many total Collections and Inkdocs are available to you in the Inkling Library.
Updated Library Search option: Search for Exact Phrase
We've added a new search option to 'Search for exact phrase', when a user types in more than one word in a search string. Using this option, will return only results that include the entire search phrase.

Issues with using the mobile apps; a mobile app seems to have less functionality than the web app, like not loading videos or audio.

You are periodically logged out of the app. Generally, this occurs every 30 days.
Inkling authentication functionality verifies account access to the platform generally every 30 days for account security.
When you log out and log back into an app, your downloaded Inkdocs are no longer available on a device.
This is a content security feature set by your organization. You must download your Inkdocs again every time you log into the app.
Error message: Book already in use
This is a content security feature set by your organization. This error indicates that the Inkdoc is active on more devices than your organization allows. You must log out of Inkling on one or more devices to fix this issue.
You added highlights and notes to your Inkdoc, and some or most of them no longer appear.
This generally means that your organization deleted the content associated with your highlights and notes, and republished the Inkdoc.
You want to print out Inkling content, or your notes and highlights, butdon'tsee a Print icon.
Youcan'tprint any Inkling content from either a desktop or a mobile app. This restriction includes notes and highlights thatyou'veadded to an Inkdoc.
While copying content, you receive a message thatyou'vemet or exceeded the daily limit.
This is a security policy set by your organization to protect against content theft. Wait 24 hours and try again.
You believe your account has been compromised.
Contact Inkling Support as soon as possible.Well immediately suspend the account and help you regain control of it.
Error message: Maximum limit has been reached.
You can only be actively logged into a maximum of two devices. If you forgot to log out of Inkling before uninstalling the app or resetting the device to the factory default settings, contact us to clear your login status.

View ArticleWe've made an update to improve the Archive Project functionality in Inkling Habitat, which is detailed below. This update is effective today, 6/6/2019 and is available to all Habitat Project Admins.
Authoring Guide
Starting today, archiving a project within the Project Setup page will now remove it from team members Habitat dashboard view and clear any active Audience distribution from the project.
In order to facilitate this change, any previously archived projects that included active Audience distribution have been restored to team members' Habitat dashboards. These projects can be re-archived using the updated functionality to clear distribution and hide the project again.

View ArticleThere are two different types of searches that you can perform in Inkling: Library or In-Inkdoc search.
Library Search
Library search will search all titles available to you and return results that are either an Inkdoc title or a match within page content. Inkling returns results and suggestions only for Inkdocs in your library that are published in English.
Tap the magnifying glass icon and enter your search term.
Results willdisplay in bold text and highlighted in pink.
To cleara search term, use theXon the right side of the search field or the delete button on your device.
Note: If your device is offline, Inkling Library Search displays simplified suggestions that show only the titles of the Inkdocs available to you, without any highlighting. You can download an Inkdoc and search within that publication for a term or phrase.
In-Inkdoc Search
In-Inkdoc search allows you tosearch for words that appear in a single Inkdoc.
Open the Inkdoc and find the search bar at the top of theTable of Contents.
Enter a keyword in the search bar and browse the results.
To return to the Table of Contents,use theXon the right side of the search field or tap Doneon your device.
View ArticleIn the Inkling mobile apps, you must first download an Inkdoc to read it. A cloud icon indicates that you have not downloaded the Inkdoc.
Tap the thumbnail image to access the Inkdoc.
Tap Download All or select the download icon next to the single chapter you would like to access.
Once the download is complete, you can read the contenteven if you are offline.
Note:Inkdocs can include two types of video content. You must be online to view videos hosted on sites like YouTube and Vimeo. Videos that are embedded in the content can be viewedwhile online, or downloaded to watch the video while offline.
You can also set a view option to display only downloaded Inkdocs. See Show only downloaded Inkdocs.

Click the text to activate a context menu and add a note or highlight. Your notes and highlights for an Inkdoc display in its Notebook.
To edit or delete a note, select the highlighted text for the note on the page and click Edit or Delete.
To delete a highlight, select it on the page and click Remove Highlight.

View ArticleThe Inkling Assessment widget has been updated to include language support for our twelve supported languages. Selecting a Language for your Assessment widget will translate all interface text in the end user's assessment experience to the language you selected.
The new Language setting can be found on the Score and Settings page of the Assessment Widget editor in Habitat:
Authoring Guide
Before you can configure the Languagesetting in your Assessments, you will need to update to the latest version of the Assessment widget in your projects.
To update to the latest version of the Assessment widget:
On the Habitat dashboard, click Modules.
Click the Inkling Assessment module.
Click Install on the latest version (2.1.1) of the Assessment module.
Select the project or projects. The Install button changes to blue and also shows the number of selected projectsfor example, Install in 2 projects.
To select all projects, click the checkbox next to Project Name. Then click Select all (#) projects.
Click Install. Leave the browser window open to help ensure that the upgrade successfully completes for all selected projects.
A Success message displays when Inkling successfully installs the module. Click OK to dismiss the message.
Open each Habitat project containing the Assessment you would like to update and select the applicable language for each widget via the widget editor. Click Publish to push the changes our to your users.
Notes:
Updating the module requires Module Management permissions. Your Inkling User Administrator is able to set these permissions. Search for Manage user platform permissions in the Administrator Guide for details.
This update does not delete previously-completed assessment data. You must reset the assessment if you would like users to retake the assessment and record new scores. For more details, see the Authoring Guide (Ch. 6 > Use the assessment widget > Reset an assessment).

View ArticleWhen you log in to your Inkling Library, you will see a bell shaped icon at the top of your display. A red circle indicates that you have an unread Notice available to be viewed.
Click or tap on this icon to load a list of your current Notices. Select a notice to view the exact date and time when the notice was sent, and a brief description outlining the alert.
Each notice is linked to a specific Inkdoc. In the example above, the "New Hire Training: Week 1" notice is linked to the "New Hire Training" Inkdoc. The notice indicates that the training content for week 1 has now become available, and clicking or tapping on the Inkdoc title/icon will bring the user directly in to the Inkdoc to view the content.

Users of Inkling for iOS and Android should download or update to the latest version of Inkling from the App Store or Google Play.
Users with a browser or operating system set to one of these languages will see a localized Inkling Library. They will also be able to read and search Inkdocs written in these languages. Search autocompletion is available for eight languages (see the table below).

The Inkling Status Page provides real-time insights to our platform server status and alerts subscribers whenever a critical service disruption or outage occurs. Subscribers will receive real-time alerts and updates via email or text message until the issue is resolved.

How urgent is it that my users update to the latest version?
This primarily affects new users finding and downloading the Inkling app for the first time. However, we always recommend updating to the latest version of the Inkling app, so users have access to the latest features and bug fixes.
Will the app icon change?
No, users will see the same app icon:
Only the app name will change, visible below the app icon on the devices home screen.
Help! My users cannot log in after this update.
It is likely the user has downloaded the wrong app. Verify that the user has downloaded the Inkling app, not eBooks by Inkling. The app icon should appear as:

If you are looking to Resolve and Issue, you can tap on a Task where an issue has been raised, and tap "Issue Raised". Then you will be prompted with the message "Are you sure you want to change this status?". Selecting "Resolve" will resolve the issue.

View ArticleTo view your notice completion percentages:
Click on the Notices tab
Below the title of each Notice, you will see a status bar. The left side of the bar will indicate the completion percentage. The right side of the bar will indicate the percentage of stores that have started completing the tasks associated with the notice. The bar will be dark green when it is displaying the completion percentage, and it will be light green when displaying the percentage of stores that have started completing the tasks.
Pressing the title of the Notice will allow you to view the Tasks that are associated with the notice you are viewing. Above the title of each task, it will note how many stores have completed the task.
Pressing on the title of a task will bring you to the page for that specific Task. Under the Assigned To section, you will be able to view the stores the task is assigned to. If a store has completed the task, there will be a check mark icon overlapping the store icon.

Select a specific user or multiple users and press Done

You can then select the Summarize dropdown and summarize the list by Region or District. When summarizing by District, you have the ability to filter the list by Region.

View ArticleTo view images uploaded by your Store Managers:
Press the Tasks tab
Press the title of a specific task to open the task page
This page will indicate which stores the specific task was assigned to. On the right hand side of each Store, it will indicate the stores completion status. An image marker will appear next to the completion status if an image has been attached to the task by the Store Manager.

Press on the + sign on the Tasks To Do page
Enter a task name
Enter a due date and time
Add an assignee by clicking the + sign and select a specific user
Press Save

Press the Tasks tab
Locate and press the task you want to mark Complete
Optional - Press Upload Image to attach any images to the task
Press Complete Task
View ArticleTo reset your Inkling Loop password:
After opening the app and entering your Company Code, click Forgot password? on the Log In screen
Enter your Username and press Next
Answer the three security questions that appear on the screen
Enter and confirm your new password
Sign in to the application to verify that your password was successfully reset
View ArticleTo view the user progress on your Notices and Tasks:
Additional information will be available on your dashboard after a Notice is distributed.
You will be able to see the following information next to each Active Notice:
The percentage of users who have viewed the notice on their devices
The percentage of users who have completed the Tasks associated with the specific Notices
Any photos that were uploaded by the store teams.
Clicking on a specific Notice will then allow you to see the completion rates for each associated Task, and you will also have the ability to view the stores progress.
You will have the ability to see any progress changes in real time
View ArticleTo Edit an existing Notice:
Click on the title of the Task that you would like to edit
Click the Edit Notice button in the top right-hand corner of the screen
Click the Save changes button in the top right-hand corner of the screen when you have finished making any changes.
View ArticleTo add a Task to a Notice:
When creating or editing a Notice, you have the ability to add Tasks to the Notice that will need to be completed.
You can add a task by clicking the Tasks tab in a Notice, and then click +Add new task
You are then required to add a title for the Task, and you also have the ability to add a description.
Select a Due date (the time zone is determined by the time zone set in the Notice)
If you are editing a Notice, click the Save changes button to save the editsyou'vemade to the Notice. If you are creating a new Notice, clicking Send will distribute the notice at the start date.
View ArticleTo create a new Notice:
Click the blue New Notice button on your dashboard
Enter a title and select the Priority (Normal or Urgent)
Enter any required details in the Message box
Optional - Click Add a link to enter a URL that will be attached to the Notice, or click Add an attachment to select a file on your computer and upload it to the Notice.
Click the Tasks tab and click +Add new task to create a task and add it to the Notice.
Under Distribution, select Stores to choose which stores will receive this notice, or select District managers only.
Under Scheduling, Edit the Start date and enter an End date. Select a Time zone.
You can click Save draft at the top of the page to save your progress and edit the Notice at a later time/date. Clicking Send will distribute the notice at the start date.

Collections are groups of related Inkdocs organized by your company. To view the Inkdocs in a collection:
Tap the collection icon.
Tap 'x' to exit the collection.
View by language
To view only Inkdocs in a particular language:
TapSettings.
Select the language(s) you would like to appear in your Library.
View downloaded Inkdocs
On mobile devices you can filter your library to show only the Inkdocs that you downloaded:
ClickSettings.
Click theShow only downloaded Inkdocstoggle.
Sort
ClickSettingsin the upper right corner to sort your Inkdocs by:
Alphabetical order
Date Added
(Mobile users only) Last opened
You can also toggle between List and Grid views.

If you get a message thatyou'vemet or exceeded the limit, wait 24 hours and try again.
