It started great, but as Honeywell slowly took over everything, it has sharply declined in culture and job satisfaction.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone on the floor/cubes are generally very friendly. There's not a lot of "culture", but there's always coffee.
What did you like most about the interview process?
They gave me contact info for other employees so I could get a candid review of the company before being hired.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My immediate peers are great, peers and managers from my department don't communicate well and often try to blame me or each other for miscommunications or lack of follow-through.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Understanding that support & growth of employee's career effects bottom line. We don't all live to work, and your P&L goals shouldn't effect our work/life balance or overall job satisfaction.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The best managers keep getting replaced with corporate borg-types or leaving because they are frequently passed up for promotion (even after serving as interim in a promotion role for months). I've never seen so many managers doing the next level-up job without getting promoted. Then they quit.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't qualify for overtime, so I feel pressure to work off the clock to achieve unrealistic deadlines at times; health insurance is much higher than other employers and this cost wasn't communicated during employment negotiations - I thought I was moving up, but really I took a pay cut...
