Jerome Durso — Chief Operating Officer at Intercept Pharmaceuticals

Mr. Jerome B. Durso, also known as Jerry, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Intercept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since February 2017. Mr. Durso serves as the Head of the U.S. Cardiovascular Business Unit and has responsible for the sales & marketing of Lovenox, Plavix and Avapro/Avalide. Mr. Durso has nearly 25 years of experience in building and leading commercial and business operations at life sciences companies both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Durso served as Senior Vice President, Chief Commerce Officer, Vice President and Head of the U S Specialized Therapeutics Business Unit of U.S Pharmaceuticals Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC from 2011 to 2015. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. Durso served as the Chief Commercial Officer and senior vice president of Sanofi's U.S. pharmaceuticals business. He joined Sanofi in 1993. Mr. Durso serves as Advisory Board Member of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey. Mr. Durso serves as a Trustee of Somerset Medical Center. Mr. Durso earned his bachelor degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.
