Richard Kim — Senior Vice President of Commercial U.S. at Intercept Pharmaceuticals

Mr. Richard Kim has been Senior Vice President of US Commercial at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 2015. Mr. Kim has over 20 years of commercial, marketing and managerial experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in the United States and abroad. Prior to joining Intercept, he worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb starting in 2004, where he most recently served as General Manager, hepatitis C worldwide commercialization. Prior to that, Mr. Kim held a number of roles of increasing responsibility at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including Vice President, SPRYCEL brand lead, oncology global marketing; Vice President, U.S. in-line oncology and global marketing for necitumumab; and Vice President, east area sales, cardiovascular and metabolics. Prior to holding these positions, Mr. Kim held a range of senior positions in the United States, Canada and Australia at Schering-Plough, which was acquired by Merck & Co. Mr. Kim earned his bachelor degree in chemistry from the University of Alberta.
