Mr. Richard E. Kaufman, also known as Rich has been the Chief Operating Officer and at Intersect ENT, Inc. since January 2007 and is responsible for R&D and Operations. Prior to joining Intersect ENT Inc., Mr. Kaufman served as Senior Vice President of R&D and Operations at Intersect ENT, Inc. since May 10, 2017. He served as the Vice President and General Manager of Abbott Bioabsorbable Vascular Solutions. Mr. Kaufman held several R&D and Operations leadership positions at Guidant from 1998 through 2006. Previously Mr. Kaufman worked at McGhan Medical from 1993 to 1998 developing products for the plastic surgery field and at IMPRA from 1990 to 1993 developing products for orthopedics and vascular grafts. Mr. Kaufman holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University.
