Mr. Jeffrey Thomas Perez, also known as Jeff, J.D., Vice President, Secretary and Director of GenVec, Inc. since June 16, 2017. Mr. Perez has been Senior Vice President of Intellectual Property Affairs at Intrexon Corporation since August 2014. Mr. Perez served as a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel and Intellectual Property at Third Security, LLC. He joined the Third Security, LLC in July 2007. He evaluated the intellectual property of potential investments of the Third Security, LLC's managed investment funds. Additionally, he worked with the Third Security, LLC's portfolio companies in evaluating and developing their intellectual property positions. He served as an Associate on the Litigation & Intellectual Property Practice Team at Hunton & Williams LLP in Washington, D.C., where he practiced law in the area of intellectual property. His previous work involved client counseling, litigation experience, agreement work, opinion drafting and patent procurement. Mr. Perez received a J.D. Degree from George Mason University School of Law and a B.S. degree from Cornell University.
