Leadership is pretty good at identifying and hiring really skilled, highly qualified people. Once they get in the role, however, management seems to disregard their opinions in favor of their own. Leadership should get better at getting out of the way and trusting the experts they've hired.
I am often praised for being one, if not the, most valuable person on our team, and I am certain I am paid significantly less than a more junior individual. I also dramatically increased my job responsibilities over the years and my pay has only increased at the same rate as annual increases.

The role changed dramatically from how it was relayed in the interview process, so management having a clearer understanding of the role before they begin hiring, as well as effective communication of the role once in the process, would be a big improvement.
Leadership needs to be improved. There is a company wide feeling that the things that need improvement will never happen because of years of big talk but little action.
