Daniel Young — President of Irvine Community Development Company at Irvine Company

Mr. Daniel Young, also known as Dan, has been the President of Irvine Community Development Company of The Irvine Company Inc. since October 1, 2007. Mr. Young served as an Executive Vice President of Entitlement and Public Affairs at The Irvine Company LLC. He was responsible for overseeing The Irvine's entitlement on the Irvine Ranch. His responsibilities was included securing the necessary governmental approvals for general plan amendments, zoning, subdivision maps, and resolution of pertinent policy issues in a manner that supports The Irvine Company Inc.'s objectives. He joined The Irvine Company in November 1999, after a 20-year career as a real-estate developer and a consultant to the industry. His community involvement includes 11 years on the Santa Ana City Council, including eight years as mayor. Mr. Young served as a Director of Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. until January 31, 2011. He served as a Member of Advisory Board of G24 Innovations Limited. In his official capacity as mayor, he also served on the board of directors of several regional agencies, including the Metropolitan Water District and the Orange County Transportation Authority. Mr. Young received his Bachelor's degree from California State University, Fullerton, and his master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California.
