What are some of the best things about your team?

Kapost really does hire people who work well together. Everyone really wants to do great work and contribute where they can.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Being on Pearl Street is pretty great, honestly. But mostly, the people that Kapost recruits are amazing. They just don't stick around very long.

What makes you most happy at work?

Working with amazing people. The energy on my team is great even in crunch time. They really live up to the "no jerks" value.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

People share their comp plans, so everyone knows that people are paid differently, but they don't know why. A director is paid the same as a manager...in the same department. And no 401k matching.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to communicate more honestly with the company. Share the details, share what you presented to the board, and share more than "vision." Stop making up "Vanguard indexes," stop sweeping bad behavior under the rug, and stop favoring some departments over others.
