Executive Bio

Mr. Brian J. Woram has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel of KB Home since July 15, 2010 and served as its Secretary since July 15, 2010. Mr. Woram served as a Senior Vice President of H&R Block, Inc. from September 14, 2009 to July 2010, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary until July 2010 and General Counsel since September 14, 2009. He served as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of Centex Corporation since January 2005. He also served as an Assistant Secretary of Centex Corporation since March 2005 and also served as its General Counsel. He served as a General Counsel of Centex Homes, a subsidiary of Centex Corp., since 1998. Prior to joining Centex Homes, Mr. Woram spent nine years in private law practice and two years in the energy industry. He served as Secretary of Centex Corp. from December 2004 to March 2005. He served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Centex Real Estate Corporation from September 1998 to December 2004. Mr. Woram worked with Locke, Liddell & Sapp for nine years as an associate and then as a shareholder. Previously, he served as a Reservoir Engineer for Exxon Company, USA. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Phi Delta Phi (Legal Honor Society), Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society). He has written articles on legal topics that have been published in the Banking Law Journal and in the Urban Lawyer. Mr. Woram holds Bachelor of Business Science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University at College Station and Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin, where he served on the Texas Law Review.
