Ms. Bethany Jean Mayer has been Senior Vice President and President of Ixia Solutions Group since April 20, 2017. Ms. Mayer has over 25 years of proven experience in leading product management, marketing communications, engineering and operations in both early stage start-up companies and Fortune 500 corporations. She served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Ixia since September 16, 2014. She served as Senior Vice President at HP Inc. (Also known as Hewlett-Packard Company) from October 31, 2011 to August 2014 and served as its General Manager of Networking Business Unit & Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) from February 2014 to August 2014, Vice President of Marketing and Alliances for Enterprise Servers & Storage and Networking Business Unit since March 1, 2010, General Manager of Networking Business Unit from October 31, 2011 to February 2014 and Acting Head of The Networking Business from June 1, 2011 to October 31, 2011. She served as a Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing & Corporate Development at Blue Coat Systems Inc. from October 2008 to March 1, 2010 and also served as its Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing since July 16, 2007. She served as Vice President of Business Planning and Marketing of JDS Uniphase Inc. from February 2007 to June 2007. She served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Mirapoint Software, Inc. (Alternate Name: Mirapoint Inc.) from May 11, 2005 to February 2007. She served as a Vice President of Marketing and Product Management of Autonomic Networks, Inc. She has been an Independent Director at Sempra Energy since February 22, 2017. She is a Board Member of Hospice of the Valley. She served as a Director at Ixia from September 16, 2014 to April 18, 2017. She served as an Independent Director of Delphi Automotive PLC from October 1, 2015 to April 27, 2016. In 2015, she was named by CRN as a Top 25 Disruptor in the technology industry due to her years of leading breakthrough technology developments including Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization. Ms. Mayer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Santa Clara University and an MBA from California State University, Monterey Bay.
