Mr. David Joshua Simon has been an Executive Vice President of Southern California at Kilroy Realty Corp since September 2014., and served as its Executive Vice President since March 2012 until September 2014. Mr. Simon joined Kilroy Realty on March 5, 2012 and was responsible for developing and executing a value add strategy for its industrial portfolio as well as identifying and acquiring value-add opportunities in the greater Los Angeles area. He has more than 25 years of experience acquiring, developing, managing and creating value in office, industrial, mixed-use, multi-family and retail product throughout the United States. He served as a Managing Director at Broadreach Capital Partners (BRCP). During his tenure at BRCP, he built the investing and management platform in Southern California where he sourced and was involved in acquisitions of more than $1 billion in commercial real estate, including office, industrial, retail and land. He also was responsible for asset management oversight for the firm's portfolio in Southern California and the Southwest. Prior to joining BRCP in 2004, he was a Partner with Kearny Real Estate Company. Mr. Simon was a key member in acquisitions, entitlement, land and ground-up development, repositioning, distressed debt work-outs, leasing, asset management and dispositions of commercial projects in California. Previously, he was with the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds in Southern California where he focused on acquisitions, asset management and dispositions of approximately $1.5 billion of real estate across all asset types. He began his career at CitiCorp. Real Estate responsible for a portfolio of office, multifamily and retail property throughout California, Texas and Florida. He served as a Board Member/Trustee for Affordable Living for the Aging based in Southern California and also has established the Simon Family Drug Research Fund at the University of Alabama. Mr. Simon is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a full member of the Urban Land Institute. He received a Master's Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
