Ashley C. Parrish — Partner at King & Spalding

Ashley C. Parrish is a Partner and a Member of National Appellate & Strategic Counseling Practice Group at King & Spalding LLP. Previously, Mr. Parrish was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He focuses his practice on appellate, administrative, and commercial litigation. He has worked on a wide variety of matters for several major corporate clients. Mr. Parrish has handled appeals involving a wide range of subject matters in courts across the country, including significant matters before the U.S. Supreme Court, almost all of the federal courts of appeals, and a variety of state appellate courts. He has special expertise handling administrative appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He frequently collaborates with the leaders of King & Spalding's global energy practice to serve the needs of it's energy industry clients in administrative and appellate litigation matters. In addition to his involvement in appellate proceedings of all kinds, Mr. Parrish has substantial experience handling critical motions and strategic litigation issues in federal and state trial courts. He is often involved in high-stakes class action litigation, and he regularly advises clients in federal administrative law and practice. Mr. Parrish is also an expert in legal reform and constitutional issues, and has often participated as a panelist at conferences hosted by leading think tanks and other prominent organizations. Before joining Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Mr. Parrish served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Emilio M. Garza on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 1998 to 1999. He is also the Director at Hinton Moot Court Board. Mr. Parrish was also a semi-finalist at the Hinton Moot Court Competition. He completed his B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science & Economics from University of Washington in 1994 and his J.D. from University of Chicago in 1998. He graduated with honors and also won the Joseph Henry Beale Prize for outstanding work in the first year legal research and writing program.
