Mr. Joseph H. Pyne, also known as Joe, served as the Chief Executive Officer of Kirby Corporation from 1995 to April 29, 2014 and served as its President of Kirby Corporation from 1995 to April 2011 and again from April 26, 2013 to January 1, 2014. Since 1984, Mr. Pyne has served in various roles for Kirby, the largest inland and offshore tank barge fleet operator in the United States as well as a leading diesel engine service provider and its subsidiaries. Mr. Pyne served as an Executive Vice President from 1992 to 1995 and also served as President of Kirby Inland Marine, LP, Kirby Corp.'s principal transportation subsidiary, from 1984 to November 1999. He served at Northrop Services, Inc. and served as an Officer in the Navy. He has been an Executive Chairman of Kirby Corporation since April 2013 and has been its Director since 1988. He has been a Director at Genesee & Wyoming Inc. since September 28, 2015. He has been a Director of DHT Holdings, Inc. since September 1, 2015. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at Ocean Energy Institute. Mr. Pyne holds a Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of North Carolina.
