Peter Hamilton Nachtwey CPA — CFO & Senior Executive VP at Legg Mason

Mr. Peter Hamilton Nachtwey, also known as Pete, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at Legg Mason, Inc. since January 2011. Mr. Nachtwey is responsible for finance and treasury, and investor relations. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer at The Carlyle Group LP and was responsible for its financial and investor reporting, internal controls, budgeting, treasury, information technology and global facilities. Previously, Mr. Nachtwey was a Partner at Deloitte & Touche, serving in various leadership roles, including Northeast Managing Partner for the investment management industry and as its Lead Partner on The Blackstone Group. Prior to that, he spent two years overseas working for a U.S. defense contractor. Mr. Nachtwey is a Certified Public Accountant. He has earned a B.S. degree in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Syracuse University.
