Dr. John J. Fratamico Jr., Ph.D. has been Chief Technology Officer and President of Technology Group at Leidos Holdings, Inc. since November 28, 2016. Dr. Fratamico served as President of the Advanced Solutions at Leidos Holdings, Inc. until November 28, 2016. He was Group President of Surveillance & Reconnaissance at Leidos Holdings, Inc. since May 2, 2016. Dr. Fratamico served as Senior Vice President of Leidos Holdings, Inc. (formerly known as SAIC, Inc.) until May 2, 2016 and its General Manager of Technology & Advanced Systems Business Unit since January 2008 until May 2, 2016. Dr. Fratamico served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Concepts Business Unit (ACBU) of Science Applications International Corp. since June 23, 2005. Dr. Fratamico has more than 20 years of experience in systems technology, platform development and system delivery. He has broad experiences as a line manager, program manager, system Chief Engineer and Senior Technologist. He is also noted for his leadership of multi-disciplinary programs, including those with real-time control, advanced material systems and sensors and complex interfaces. Recently, he managed the Joint Network Management System program in Leidos Holdings, Inc.'s Systems and Network Solutions Group. Dr. Fratamico technical pursuits have been in the development of low observable systems -- from conceptual design and system engineering through detailed design, integration and testing. He has developed techniques and algorithms for signature prediction and optimization, massively parallel computation, material characterization and signature reduction, as well as for antenna design and adaptive signal processing. Prior to joining Leidos Holdings, Inc., Dr. Fratamico served as the Chief Scientist at McDonnell Douglas Technologies. During his time at MIT, he was selected as a fellow of the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation. Within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, he has served as the Chairman of the San Diego Chapters of the Microwave Theory and Technique Society and the Antennas and Propagation Society. He also has taught extension courses at the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Fratamico studied Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
