Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at Lumin Digital

The headquarters for Lumin Digital is located in San Ramon, California, where a handful of employees work onsite regularly. It was important for our organization to be mindful of our impact on the environment when selecting a physical location, so we’re located in a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) complex. LEED-certified buildings are critical to addressing climate change, protecting biodiversity and water resources, and promoting sustainable materials. Situated beautifully amongst nature, Lumin headquarters also provides onsite team members the ability to work outside, take a walk through a short trail with active wildlife, and soak in the gorgeous view of the public lake. Factoring in all elements, Lumin is committed to paving the way for environmental transformation.

Environmental Sustainability

We are a distributed workforce with a remote-first environment. Our employees join us from across the nation, each putting their unique skills to work for the success of our partners. By supporting and encouraging remote work, we know the impacts it has on work-life balance, the larger pool of employee skills, and the environment. For many of our team members, remote work eradicates time spent commuting. Instead of trekking to the office and producing emissions, remote workers often have the opportunity to spend more time with loved ones and take better care of their physical and mental health. Additionally, remote work reduces Lumin’s environmental footprint through other factors, like reduced paper usage, food and plastic waste, and urban air pollution.

Community Impact and Philanthropy

We know that communities around the globe face complex problems every day. It’s our social responsibility to continually seek to accelerate progress where it’s needed most and support the causes that can fuel real change in the world. Lumin recognizes and sympathizes with employees who have experienced hardship or difficult times. We’ve donated to underprivileged companies, organizations, and our local school district to help fill the gap they so desperately needed. Additionally, Lumin has hosted a Holiday Wish Drive for five consecutive years to grant wishes to people experiencing homelessness and less fortunate families. It’s our goal to help others as much as we can with the resources we have.
