Marc Manuel — Chief Financial Officer and Director at M/I Homes

Mr. Marc Manuel has been Chief Financial Officer and Director of M I Acquisitions, Inc. since July 12, 2016. Mr. Manuel has served as the Managing Director of Magna Management LLC since 2012, leads its due diligence and portfolio management and also serves as the backbone of its investment process. Mr. Manuel has been responsible for helping to build out the Magna's Equities division, structuring the Equities division's investments both as lead investor in syndicated transactions and as a sole investor. Mr. Manuel was a Partner at McKinney Rogers International Limited (alternate name: McKinney Rogers Ltd.). Mr. Manuel joined McKinney Rogers Ltd. on June 2, 2009. Previously, Mr. Manuel served at Kidd & Company LLC, where he led or supported portfolios in numerous industry sectors including clean-tech, energy and aviation. Prior to that, Mr. Manuel served as Managing Director and Founding Member of The SHC Group, Inc. Prior to joining Magna, from September 2009 to July 2012, Mr. Manuel worked as an Investment Banker at Scarsdale Equities LLC. Mr. Manuel joined Scarsdale Equities LLC after a successful career as an entrepreneur and consultant that started in the healthcare field based upon relationships fostered while at GE Medical Systems and culminated in the private equity sector. During his tenure in the healthcare field, he founded, built and later sold health-related businesses and established several successful joint ventures. Mr. Manuel has extensive experience in capital formation structures, having raised equity and debt financing for emerging and lower middle-market companies from angels and institutional investors, acting as both principal and agent. He has supported companies facing rapid growth and operational execution challenges. Many engagements included providing M&A services to middle-market companies, assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer of several businesses including a $50 million physician practice and being named Vice President of Strategy of a $300 mm insurance company. Immediately prior to joining Scarsdale Equities, Mr. Manuel was assisting executive leadership teams of private equity portfolio companies in the aviation arena, alternative energy and oil distribution space. Prior to working at Scarsdale Equities LLC, Mr. Manuel owned his own business and consulted for a wide array of companies ranging from early stage startups to members of the Fortune 10. He has worked across sectors from healthcare to private equity to entrepreneurship. He is a FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses. Mr. Manuel holds a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Finance and Economics from George Washington University.
