Erik Michael Hovanec — Chief Strategy Officer at Magnite

Mr. Erik Michael Hovanec serves as Chief strategy Officer at The Rubicon Project, Inc. Mr. Hovanec served as an Interim Head of Buyer Cloud and Head of Retargeting at The Rubicon Project, Inc since January 10, 2016 until July 7 2016. Mr. Hovanec Co-Founded and served as Managing Director of the Design Accelerator. Mr. Hovanec has been a Member of Pasadena Angels since 2003. Mr. Hovanec served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of LeisureLink, Inc. since March 2006. He was actively involved in consumer oriented technology companies for the dozen years. Prior to joining LeisureLink, Mr. Hovanec served as Vice President of Financial Services for Next Estate Communications at Green Dot Corporation and also served as its General Manager. He was an executive at Green Dot. Prior to joining that, Mr. Hovanec was Vice President of Business Development for Overture Services, Inc., where he oversaw numerous facets of its rapid growth in the Paid Search Engine Marketing industry, helping grow Overture Services from inception to revenues of nearly $1billion at the time of its sale in 2003. Prior to Overture, he worked as a Product Manager for a consumer healthcare software company building an Internet-based system to help diabetic patients work more effectively with their care providers. Mr. Hovanec has previously worked in management consulting for the Boston Consulting Group and Marakon Associates and as a Product Director for two venture capital funded startups. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Chippmunk. He is a Director of Nami Media. He served as a Director of LeisureLink, Inc. Mr. Hovanec received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Princeton University.
