Mr. Donald R. Lindsay, also known as Don, B.Sc. Honours, M.B.A has been the President of Teck Resources Limited since January 1, 2005 and has been its Chief Executive Officer since April 27, 2005. Mr. Lindsay serves as the President of Teck Cominco Alaska Incorporated. He has extensive management, financial services, capital markets and international experience. He served as the Managing Director of Canadian Investment and Corporate Banking and Head of Asia Pacific Region at CIBC World Markets Corp., a subsidiary of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce from 1997 to 2004. He worked at CIBC World Markets Inc., from 1985 to 2004 and served as its President from 2001 to 2004, where he was responsible for the Investment and Corporate Banking Division and the Asia Pacific Region. He served as the Chairman of International ZInc. Association. He has been a Director of Teck Resources Limited since February 16, 2005 and Manufacturers Life Insurance Company, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Manulife Financial Corporation since August 1, 2010. He has been a Non-Independent Director of Fording (GP) ULC., a subsidiary of Fording Canadian Coal Trust since 2005. He served as a Director of International ZInc. Association. Mr. Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering from Queen's University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
