John Brisco — Chief Operations Officer for Asia Division and Chief Information Officer for Asia Division at Manulife Financial Corp

Mr. John Brisco has been Chief Operations Officer for Asia Division and Chief Information Officer for Asia Division at Manulife Financial Corporation since July 2015. Mr. Brisco is responsible for leading the information functions technology and digital execution strategies in 12 markets across Asia, as well as regional operations services including talent management and information risk management. He joined the Manulife Financial Corporation in June 2015. He has considerable global experience in the insurance and consultancy sectors. Mr. Brisco served as the Chief Information Officer of Emerging Markets at QBE Insurance Group Limited from 2013 to June 2015, and served as its Chief Operating Officer of Latin America from October 2014 to June 2015. He was responsible for 23 markets and oversaw a number of key projects including the launch of QBE's innovative insurance platform Qnect. He has extensive international insurance industry and financial consulting experience, with an exceptional successful track record in delivering strategic technological and operational transformation in markets across Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe. He served as an Executive Director at Ernst & Young and played a key leadership role in the management and growth of its Asia Pacific Advisory business. Mr. Brisco served five years with the AXA Group in numerous senior roles, which provided him the opportunity to gain experience in numerous countries within Europe, Asia and Australasia. He also worked for AXA in Europe and Australia, where he headed up a number of business and transformation roles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance with first class honors from the University of Strathclyde (United Kingdom).
