Marianne Harrison — President & CEO of John Hancock at Manulife Financial Corp

Ms. Marianne Harrison has been President and Chief Executive Officer of John Hancock at Manulife Financial Corporation since October 1, 2017. Ms. Harrison has been Senior Executive Vice President of Canadian Division and General Manager of Canadian Division at Manulife Financial Corporation since January 1, 2013. Ms. Harrison serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Manulife Canada. She has led the development and implementation of a strategy to evolve Manulife's Canadian Division into a more customer-centric organization. She served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Long-Term Care at John Hancock Financial Services Inc. at Manulife Financial Corporation until January 2013. Ms. Harrison served as Chief Executive Officer & President of Manulife Canada at The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company until October 1, 2017. Ms. Harrison served as Senior Executive Vice President - Canada Division and General Manager - Canada Division at The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. She is responsible for all aspects of the diversified and balanced insurance and investment business provided by Manulife's Canadian Division. She held several leadership positions across the Manulife which include: Executive Vice President and Controller for Manulife in Toronto. Before joining Manulife, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Wealth Management at TD Bank Group after holding various positions there; before that she worked for PwC. She sits on the Board of Directors of St. Mary's General Hospital Foundation and is a member of Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association's Standing Committee on Standards and Marketplace Relations. She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Canadian/Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in English and she earned a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
