Ms. Nadine Chakar serves as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Operations and Data Management at Manulife Financial Corporation since March 7, 2016. Ms. Chakar is responsible for directing global operations for the investment division, this includes the operations supporting the firm's general account assets, Manulife Asset Management and affiliated wealth management clients. She oversee's the design, implementation and management of firm's divisional data governance and information management program. Previously, Ms. Chakar served as the Head of Derivatives 360 (SM) Business at The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation since January 2012. She served as the President at Mellon International and was responsible for strategic asset servicing business activity in all European and Asian marketplaces. Ms. Chakar served as a Member of Management Board at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B.V and served as its Head of GFI business since 2010. Ms. Chakar served as the Chief Executive Officer at Abn Amro Mellon Global Securities Services B.v since 2003. Ms. Chakar served as the Managing Director at the ABN AMRO Mellon strategic alliance. She joined the firm in November 1989 and over the course of her career has held a variety of management, technical and business development roles in both the United States and Europe. She also served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B.V. She joined Abn Amro Mellon Global Securities as an Operations Officer in the Analytical Services Group & was later promoted to Investment Officer, with responsibility for designing, developing and implementing performance and analytics systems for clients. Ms. Chakar served as a Department Manager of the Mutual Funds Performance Group and led the marketing and consulting efforts to mutual fund clients to improve their investment analysis using Mellon's products. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from Boston University in 1987.
