Paul R. Lorentz — Head of Global Wealth & Asset Management at Manulife Financial Corp

Mr. Paul R. Lorentz serves as Global Head of Wealth and Asset Management at Manulife Asset Management. Previously, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer at the firm. Mr. Lorentz has direct oversight over the firm's wealth and asset management business, including its retirement, retail and asset management solutions offered worldwide. He is accountable for creating stronger global alignment by bringing these areas together into one single global organization. Mr. Lorentz has been the Head of Global Wealth & Asset Management at Manulife Financial Corporation since October 1, 2017. He serves as a Director of Manulife Asset Management Limited, Manager of various funds in the fund complex of Manulife Mutual Funds and Oil Sands Sector Fund. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President at AIC Global Financial Split Corp., Copernican International Financial Split Corp. and Copernican World Banks Split Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President, General Manager of Retail Markets and Executive Vice President of Retail Markets and General Manager of Retail for Individual Life and Wealth Management for Canadian Division at Manulife Financial Corporation, overseeing Manulife Investments, Manulife Securities, Manulife Private Wealth, and Manulife Insurance. In this role, he was responsible for delivering industry leading advice, investment, and insurance solutions to Canadians. He served as the President and Senior Vice President of Investment Products at Manulife Investments. He served in various Manulife businesses since joining Manulife Investments in 1993. He led Manulife's distribution organization. He served as a Director of AIC Global Financial Split Corp., Copernican International Financial Split Corp., Elliott & Page Limited and Copernican World Banks Split Inc. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with B. Mathematics, is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and is a Graduate of the Queen's Leadership Program.
